Xuan-Er

During Chinese New Year, Kenn-Wai and I went for an outdoor portrait shooting of Xuan-Er, a friend of Kenn to resume our photography job for this new year. It had been a year since I photographed model so I had to thank Kenn for making the arrangement.

The weather on that day was very good, bright and sunny, which was very suitable for outdoor. So we went a paddy field away from town with Xuan-Er and began the session.

Xuan-Er had a simple and milky white wedding gown on and she looked gorgeous. Although she wasn’t feeling good, she did a fabulous job and gave us her very best in the shooting. We really appreciated everything.

The shooting went well and we stopped after sunset. Thanks to Kenn and Xuan-Er for the great time together we had.

Sharing some of the shots. May all beings be happy.

Hi! Welcome and thanks for dropping by juesatta.

I am CJ, blogger of juesatta and also a full time wedding and portraiture photographer at CJ photography based in Melaka, a lovely town full of history and character in Malaysia. I do travel domestically and internationally for photo sessions.

Specialising in actual wedding day photography, I have always been passionate for capturing beautiful, natural and romantic wedding day images of moments to be cherished a lifetime. As I lovEE street photography so much, and photograph during traveling, I always prefer to capture genuine moments and people in their natural settings during weddings. The most important element of wedding photography is to do it in a documentary style and tell the story from the photos just as it happened.

So please check out the posts below which showcase some of my works from recent wedding, event, street and lifestyle photography sessions.  For further information of photography services, drop me an email cj@cjfen.com please.

Kindly join juesatta on facebook to catch up the latest update. I hope you’ll enjoy the wedding photos as much as I do.

Miracle ‘I love you’ brings ‘dead’ UK woman Lorna Baillie back to life

A woman declared dead after she suffered a massive heart attack astonished doctors and her grieving family when she suddenly came back to life.

Relatives of Lorna Baillie were devastated when a team of medics withdrew treatment after spending three hours trying to revive her.

The family gathered around her hospital bed to say their goodbyes after doctors told them the 49-year-old grandmother was ‘technically dead’, being kept artificially alive only by a combination of adrenaline, electric shocks and CPR.

It was then, 45 minutes later, that Mrs Baillie’s disabled husband John, 58, whispered ‘I love you’ to his wife.

As John, his son and three daughters sat beside Mrs Baillie, they were surprised to see her colour gradually improve.

A nurse present in the room assured them this was a normal side effect of prolonged emergency treatment.

And when Mrs Baillie’s eyelids flickered and she appeared to squeeze her eldest daughter Leanne’s hand, the nurse again assured the family that ‘involuntary movements’ were to be expected.

Unconvinced, the family demanded the nurse call in a doctor, who found a pulse and rushed Mrs Baillie to intensive care.

Daughter Leanne Porteous, 31, said: ‘I asked the nurse if it was normal that she squeezed my hand and that she had opened her eyes and she said it was.

‘We are so close as a family and we are not the kind of people to just give up. We were telling my mum to be strong. I kept saying to her, “Come back, Mum, come back”.’

‘At one point my dad said, “Lorna come back, I love you,” and then –just like that – she was there again.’

Two weeks later, the former auxiliary nurse from Prestonpans, East Lothian, has even managed some ‘high-fives’ after sitting up in bed and communicating with her family.

Mrs Baillie, a keen gardener and dog walker, collapsed at her home at 4.30pm on February 10.

Paramedics battled to resuscitate her before taking her to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary where, at 8.45pm, a doctor told the family she had died.

Leanne said: ‘His words were that she was technically dead, but they had to wait until she had stopped breathing before they could pronounce her medically dead.’

Mrs Baillie’s miraculous signs of recovery followed, but medics warned that her chances of survival remained slim because her kidneys had failed and she was in a coma.

The family were still so worried that her daughter Charlene, 23, asked the hospital chaplain to obtain a special licence to allow her to get married by her mother’s bedside.

But Mrs Baillie’s condition continued to improve and last week she was moved from intensive care to a medical ward.

An MRI scan yesterday revealed no obvious brain damage.

The family are now seeking an explanation from NHS Lothian and senior doctors have assured them staff will receive ‘extra training’ as a result of the incident.

Dr David Farquharson, medical director of NHS Lothian, said: ‘Mrs Baillie’s family were told to prepare for the worst but when she was checked again her vital signs had returned.

‘This type of recovery is extremely rare and she is continuing to make progress.’

澳洲很大,关丹很小

SAVE MALAYSIA STOP LYNAS

SAVE MALAYSIA STOP LYNAS

Itadakimasu, the Japanese menu

Japanese appetiser

Towards the end of last year, I did a product shooting of Japanese food at a Japanese restaurant in Melaka Raya together with Jeff for the new menu he was designing. Jeff, a full time graphic designer gave me many tips in shooting products and it was a great pleasure working with him.

There were more than a hundred dishes we shot during the session and I couldn’t even remember the names. However, the dishes were looking fantastic just like a work of art, thanks to the chef, Shaun, and I tasted some of the dishes after captured the shots, and they were just great!

Below are some of the outcome of the shooting:

Good news for all photo lovers in Melaka! From yesterday on, heritage state Melaka hosts world’s largest press photo exhibition, World Press Photo 11 for ten days. This most popular photo event in the world only happens in four locations in Malaysia and Melaka is one in the list.

The official opening day of World Press Photo 11 exhibition in Melaka was yesterday on the ValEEntine’s Day. I was glad to be there on its launching and witnessed the spectacular photos which have stunned thousands of readers in last year’s most shocking news events.

A good photo can tell a thousand words of a story. The photos in the exhibition share important stories including those of survival, global issues and cultural differences, acting as a platform for visitors to gain more knowledge about what is going on in the world. Each of the photos is unique and different yet all stunning.

I would recommend this exhibition to friends especially those who like photography to pay a visit. This is a good opportunity to learn and explore photojournalism which can also help with almost all types of photography. The exhibition really opened my eyes to so many new and different possibilities in photography.

So, to go to the exhibition, it is held at the Balai Seni Lukis Melaka building (next to the post office of Dutch Square Melaka) from the 14th February until the 23rd. Be quick and be there since the exhibition is in the town now, and after that it will move on to its final two locations which are Sabah and Penang.

Below are the selection of the winning photos and information obtained from the exhibition (WARNING: Some may find certain images disturbing). Click to continue viewing.
