Hi! Welcome and thanks for dropping by juesatta.

I am CJ, blogger of juesatta and also a full time wedding and portraiture photographer at CJ photography based in Melaka, a lovely town full of history and character in Malaysia. I do travel domestically and internationally for photo sessions.

Specialising in actual wedding day photography, I have always been passionate for capturing beautiful, natural and romantic wedding day images of moments to be cherished a lifetime. As I lovEE street photography so much, and photograph during traveling, I always prefer to capture genuine moments and people in their natural settings during weddings. The most important element of wedding photography is to do it in a documentary style and tell the story from the photos just as it happened.

Celestle + Dennis = j.u.s.t. m.a.r.r.i.e.d.

congratulation to Celestle Chai and Dennis Lee!

Had a great time with Celestle and Dennis on their big day.

Celestle and Dennis married on the most perfect day last month, 20.11.2011 in Muar, Johor and it was a pleasure to documented their wedding. We started from Dennis parents’ place in Muar while Celestle got ready at her parents’ home in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan. Then we drove north in the early morning to Celestle’s place and endured a few door games before the groom could get to his bride.

The beautiful day was perfected with a joyful reception held in Muar with the piano performance of Dennis’ sister, Rebecca and friends. Although it was drizzling in the evening, it didn’t turn down anyone’s mood.

Their day was warm and just lovely !It was happy to see a couple surrounded by such loving and supportive family and friends.

Congratulation to Celestle and Dennis for tying the knot and thanks for having me to capture the important milestone in your life.

Vivien + Yang = j.u.s.t. m.a.r.r.i.e.d.

congratulation to Vivien Law and Kuang-Yang!

Vivien and Yang were married early this month. I get to know both of them from Vivien’s sister, Mivian and they are on the loveliest couples I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Vivien comes from a Baba and Nyonya family. As you will see, I’ve included some pics of the family and friends wearing beautiful Nyonya Kebaya, and a pic of delicious Nyonya Pulut Tekan (glutinous rice in blue and served with Kaya) with Nyonya Kuih Lapis (red layer cake), which normally prepared for Nyonya weddings.

Congratulation and thank you Vivien and Yang for inviting me to be a part of your big day. It was absolutely beautiful with lots of fun and laughter. I wish you both nothing but the best in your journey through marriage and many blessings.

Mandy + Daniel = wedding reception

I received an invitation from my old friends, Deniel and Mandy to attend their wedding dinner last month. The fantastic and wild wedding reception of Mandy and Daniel was held at the Lu Yeh Yuan Restaurant, one of the biggest restaurants in Melaka.

Deniel and I were secondary school classmates and we used to hang out at Deniel’s cyber cafe and snooker center during the old days. Then I got to know Mandy when Deniel started to date her about 8 years back. Those are amazing couples and have finally tied the knot.

I too met many old friends the Franciscans that night. Most of us didn’t get to meet each other after our secondary school when everybody off our own way to tertiary study. This dinner however had made us reunion, came and gathered together and brought back all the memories of the old days.

Iu-Lung the young and talented photographer was there as the official photographer of the reception. I brought my gears and it was intended to take a few shots of my old friends. However, being a photographer myself, it has already become a practice and I started to go around and photographed the reception with Iu-Lung.

The night was simply fun. Everybody had a good time laughing and drinking as much as we could.

Congratulation to Mandy and Deniel on your marriage! Wishing you a wonderful journey as you build your new life together.

Celine + Kevin = j.u.s.t. m.a.r.r.i.e.d.

What a beautiful month of September for Celine and Kevin’s wedding! I was very luck and it gave me so much pleasure to photograph their wedding.

Celine and Kevin folks’ houses are very near. On the actual day, we started at Celine’s place and the ‘brothers from the groom side’ had so much fun with the surprise door games set up by the ‘sisters of the bride’, especially doing the Wonder Girls’ Nobody dancing with coconut bras. Celine and Kevin also invited family and friends for the wedding dinner at Holiday Inn Melaka a week before the actual day ceremony.

It was really a nice wedding and both Celine and Kevin were one of the loveliest couples I have worked with. I wish all the love and happiness to Celine and Kevin, and thanks to them for having me as their photographer.

Prewedding – Tong Poh-Ling and Goh Seng-Chin

Congratulation to Tong Poh-Ling (Pohling) and Goh Seng-Chin (Goh) who just got married early this month!

Last month before the two tied the knot, photographers like Kenn-Wai, Fred, Angel Wee, Hanne, Andrew Gan, Angela Gan and I decided to give Pohling and Goh a special gift. We would like to present them a prewedding album in which photos shot and compiled by us.

Each of the guys has their unique style in shooting. Thus I was excited that I could join the session together because it was a good opportunity to learn them. We met out for a discussion as always before the shooting, planned a two-day sessions and selected a few venues in Melaka for making the photo album. Each would need to contribute a few shots and teamwork makes the dream work.

That morning, Pohling looked absolutely fabulous and Goh was just charming. We were all geared up. Although I spent half a day with the beautiful couples and fun-loving photographers, we enjoyed the session together so much. As for the outcome, I was fascinated by the way all of them worked and how they produced their images. There were so much things that I learned from the guys.

Thank you guys for the wonderful time and happy married life to Pohling and Goh. I hope you hold each other close in best or bad times and have trust and faith all the way.
