Bridal portrait with Jess and Einstein in Melaka

Celebrating Jess & Einstein

Nothing is more fun taking  the wedding portrait of Jess and Einstein together with Jess’s family. Both Jess and Einstein are from Singapore and tied the knot in Singapore. However some of Jess’s relatives are staying in Melaka so both of them decided to have a simple tea ceremony and dinner for their relatives especially grannys who were inconvenient to travel to Singapore for their wedding.

Having a simple ceremony, Jess requested for an outdoor portrait session with her family before the ceremony. We headed to the heart of Melaka town and started the session. Drizzling didn’t stop us from having the fun at all. They were so sporting and non-stop making joke and teasing each other even the parents. There were the clicks of shutters and lots of laughs.

Jess loves the beach so much which made Klebang Beach our next shooting location. Though it was cloudy it didn’t rain when we arrived at the beach, it was cooling! Thank God, luck was on our side. We had another wonderful session with again filled with lots of fun.

Jess and Einstein, thank you both so much for inviting us to be your wedding photographers. Congratulation and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together now and forever!

Here are just a few favorites from the gorgeous day. WelcomEE May!

How the poor live? 什么叫做贫穷?

By Compassion, Photography

happy family near the beach of a fishing village in Vietnam

One day, a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.

“Oh yeah,” said the son.

“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered, “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden, and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden, and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard, and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on, and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless.

Then his son added, “Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are.”

Celebrating Eva & Bryan

Celebrating Eva & Bryan

Brendon, King and I were pleased to meet Eva & Bryan, and photographed their wonderful wedding in the final quarter of last year.

There are so much to tell about Eva and Bryan two lovely couple from Melaka. We have something in common, as Eva and Bryan are outdoor lover especially for the beach, sunshine, and scuba diving.

Eva was dressed up in a beautiful gown and golden heels in the morning waiting for her man to come for a crazy gate crush session. The playful bridesmaids must have brainstorming the night before for the games which took the groomsmen quite some time to complete them so that Bryan could enter the room and gave the lovely bride a kiss to last a lifetime.

Luncheon reception was held the next day at Equatorial Hotel Melaka. It was sweet and full of romance when the couple marched in after a saxophone lead. A photobooth was also setup near the entrance allowing family and friends to have fun shots together throughout the reception.

There was something really heartbreaking to me and to couple and family, when knowing the passing of Bryan’s beloved father weeks before the wedding. It was an unfortunate timing however Bryan had his family’ support.

Although they missed dad so much, they honored the his memory and carried the wedding ceremony as planned. Lots of hugs and tears happened during the wedding showing the great support and encouragement from family and friends. The moments were emotional yet touching.

We had a great wedding shoot time with Eva and Bryan, and thank you again for having us on your special day. Congratulation on your happy wedding and may you find peace, faith and love in each other’s arms. May all bEE happy.

Family outing with the Murphy’s

By Family portrait, Photography
family portrait in Klebang Beach Melaka, Malaysia

Meet the Murphy’s

Promised to his children earlier, Murphy decided to bring his wife Ann and children Darren and Valerie to the beach for kite flying after Chinese New Year. He is a busy man with his career, however always does he reserve quality time for the family.

Murphy and I were finding difficulty in scheduling a family shoot which he always wished for. After knowing his plan for kite flying at Klebang Beach on a beautiful evening, I told him I would tag along to have fun with his children, and also to do a casual family shooting with them.

The evening was great for kite flying with warm breeze. It was challenging to get the kite going for the first time, however the kids were surely having lots of fun. We had the portrait done while Murphy and family was having their own sweet time and I just love capturing the cute children and spontaneous joyful moments.

Thank you Murphy and family for inviting me to your outing and allowing me to capture your lovely time!

Sharing some of the shots taken during the outing. More photos available on Facebook juesatta.

May all bEE happy 🙂
