马六甲佳世客（JUSCO）购物中心週六开始推展“无胶袋日”，以环保袋和纸盒取代塑胶袋，灌输消费者在购物时为环保尽一分力；而古城市民的反应亦非常正面，纷纷赞许这是环保好开始。
檳灵玉及爱极乐的佳世客今天同步推行无胶袋日，亦是州內第一间推动环保购物的购物商场。
鼓励顾客使用环保袋购物
自此以后，佳世客每个星期六都会落实无胶袋日，鼓励顾客使用环保袋、纸盒或自备袋子，来盛装所购买的物品。
古城消费者受访时表示，这是落实环保的其中一个好方法，尤其购物商场所使用的塑胶袋量非常惊人，若主动教育民眾从购物习惯中学习环保，慢慢放弃使用塑胶袋，將对整个生活环境带来正面的效果。
Monkey baby piglet rodeo / 孤儿猴猪好哥儿们
Visitors have been flocking to see a baby boar named Uribo running with baby monkey Miwa tightly hanging on to its back rodeo-style at a zoo in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto Prefecture.
Both are 4 months old and have been sheltered by the zoo since June after becoming motherless. The two have become seemingly inseparable since the zookeeper put them together in a cage in early August, according to officials of Fukuchiyama City Zoo.

14 September 2010, Rome – FAO and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) today said that the number of hungry people in the world remains unacceptably high despite expected recent gains that have pushed the figure below 1 billion.
The new estimate of the number of people who will suffer chronic hunger this year is 925 million — 98 million down from 1.023 billion in 2009.
“But with a child dying every six seconds because of undernourishment related problems, hunger remains the world’s largest tragedy and scandal,” said FAO Director-General Jacques Diouf. “This is absolutely unacceptable.”

（吉隆坡讯）家庭主妇陈颐袀两年前祸不单行，她在诞下第四胎后，被诊断患上围產期心肌病，数个月后左半身又中风，一度令她活在绝望之中。原本以為等心无望，更遑论换心，但上天待她不薄，在她耐心等候近一年后，就安排有缘人“送心”给她，让她得以继续当个称职的妈妈和妻子。
从今年2月踏出国家心臟中心后，陈颐袀一直小心翼翼呵护著这颗得来不易的心臟，虽然换心手术使她的肢体欠灵活且动作缓慢，加上举手抬脚不易，但她在过去半年来可是閒不下来。她不但忙著研究食谱、烹煮佳餚满足家人口腹之欲，同时也忙著照顾和教导孩子、忙著进行復健治疗，以及“忙著”适应善心者捐出的心臟。时间对她而言，严重不够用。儘管忙碌的生活将她压得喘不过气来，但她却乐此不疲，只因活著就是一种福气。
陈颐袀是继郑慧仪之后，国内第二名成功换心的病患。这颗心臟，相信是遇车祸脑死的17岁少年吴凯旋捐给她的。
“打了一个转回来，生活似乎好像回到原点，可是当中确是出现巨大改变。在我的体内，掛著的是好心人赠予的心臟，我必须适应、好好珍惜和呵护它，不让它受到伤害。至於我的躯体，我必须接受它暂时难以恢復以前敏捷的现实，学习放慢步伐去生活。”
她说， 她每天都在学习如何重新再生活。
